Create your account and your AnonyChat profile

You must be 18 or older to use AnonyChat. Signing up has two parts: your AnonyID, then your AnonyChat profile.

1. Create your AnonyID

On Create account you are sent to account.anonylabs.com to create your AnonyID: a private login username, a password, your date of birth and, if you like, a recovery e-mail. No phone number is asked for. At the end you get a recovery code: save it, because it is shown only once. The AnonyID help articles explain each step.

2. Set up your AnonyChat profile

You then come straight back to AnonyChat:

1. About you: your Display name (public and globally unique), Gender, Interested in, Country and the Languages you speak. Your gender can't be changed later. Your date of birth comes from your AnonyID. Your profile shows your age, never the date.
2. Avatar: choose how you look. You can change it at any time.
3. Finish: confirm that you are 18 or older, and select Create profile.

The 18+ rule

There is no ID or face check at sign-up. An account reported as possibly under 18 can be paused until the person shows they are 18 or over, or staff decide.

Already have an AnonyID? Select Sign in and use it. If it has no AnonyChat profile yet, you set one up as in step 2.
